I don't see how we can win against anyone in that group though. The guys don't seem believe in themselves.
 
Well it looks like Pakistan is going to lose this one :)

So if Australia beats Pakistan, Pakistan will be knocked out. Whoever wins between India and SA will go through with Australia.
 
2 problems.

1. SA could likely struggle against a spin-laden Indian team.

2. Aus same problem against Pakistan.


Too many variables that are not in our control.... Who knows...that dim light could just flicker yet and sneak into the semi's

Agreed. The selectors should be fired. They forced up to play with nine men.

Levi. If you score a 100 every 12 matches against the top 8 teams (the 8th best team) but nothing since you are still a liability the other 11 games.

Parnell They decide his first game this tournament should be this game.
We all knew Parnell would concede the most runs in this match like he did in England.

One of the few times I will be cheering the Aussies. I hope Watson and Warner have beasts of a game and destroy Pakistan. As for our match, surely we must bat second and chase down a score even if the conditions are more bowling friendly in the second session. Batting first has been piss poor for us, plus it could give the guys some direction on how to go about their job.

We've gone to rubbish all of a sudden in super eights, don't know if we have it in us to pull a miracle and regain some form. Of course that's assuming the Pakistan team doesn't decide to play properly against Australia.
 
First time I will be rooting for the Aussies. :sick:

Levi needs to be dropped with Faf replacing him and albie should come in as a pinch hitter to give us momentum during the early part of the innings. Also behardien needs to be dropped.. he can't play aatch winning innings.
 
Indian fan at the office claims Pakistan threw the game yesterday. It did look like it.

I know Pakistan has a history of match fixing but I doubt this. They wouldn't throw a match against India, surely?
 
New Zealand up against West Indies in another crunch game for both teams. My allegiance lies with the Windies. Really hoping they can set up a sizeable target to make it competitive.

We'll have news from the toss in just a bit, but chasing a target should be the way to go, reckons Sourav Ganguly, on a track like this, under bright sunshine.

Toss New Zealand have decided to chase. Taylor reckons 155-160 is about a par score. No Vettori, who is injured, so Ronnie Hira walks in. No Kane Williamson either, and Jacob Oram is back. Badree comes in for Fidel Edwards. Bravo for Bravo. Dwayne Bravo has a groin injury, and in comes Darren.

Another decent online commentary is cricbuzz and makes a nice alternative to cricinfo. Cricbuzz also seems marginally quicker with their updates.

They destroyed India in the warm up match, Such a big game and they made so many stupid mistakes, they allowed singles in a 6 an over match. Indias bowling was average, Zaheer got some swing early but the rest was average.

Pakistan beat Aus at home(Dubai) on a similar pitch. I wouldnt be surprised if they beat Aus tbh.
 
Saw some permutations on cricinfo.

For us to qualify, Australia must win and wrist beat India by 4 runs or more to get a better nrr
