ICC World Twenty20 2012

I'm interested in what players will actually be left to play if the "supporters" had their way...

Your "supporters" in inverted comma's is of course sarcasm ... News for you - it actually is entirely possible to be a supporter of our sports teams, yet also be highly critical of their performance, and especially so of their non-performance.

So let me get this right.... general SA "supporter" opinion

Graeme Smith was a tosser an needed to go. AB was the man. Lose a few matches and AB is the worst captain ever. Wouldnn't surprise me to hear calls for Smith's return soon....
Levi is useless and must go.
Parnell is useless and must go.
Both the Morkels are useless and must go.
Kallis bats far too slow for T20 and must go. Add the fact that he is also too old. Definitely must go!

EDIT: Oh, and bear in mind this view is capable of being changed on a whim. Hit a six and you are suddenly the best player ever. Get out next ball and you must be dropped. Hit a 50 and you are great. Drop a catch later and you must get out of the team. We are fickle after all.

+1

But on that.
Parnell was always useless.
Levi was useless, one good innings cannot warrant him top spot in the team.
More was always useless in that part of the world, why persist with him?
Why did Tahir makes the squad? All the spinners are performing, even amateurs.

AB should have had a council with all decisions, Kalis and Botha should have supported him, they didn't.

Why is it the SA cricket can get to # 1 ranking in all forms of the game? But then fail in World Cups.

Because we chop and change, and bring in bits-and-pieces players into the squad..... very disappointing.
Fans are / must be getting gatvol.

Yep. We're playing with 9 players because Parnell and Levi are passengers.

I haven't seen De Villiers, Kallis or Amla set the world on fire either. It doesn't help when your experienced players phone it in either. It is our experienced batsmen who have let the country down.

The team seems to be clueless.Poor planning, strategy and execution.

Playing for ones country should mean much more....

Blame whoever you like but we lost as a team, poor selection, poor execution but typical of world cup SA

I remember seeing a headlines where we claimed we were the best, looks like we are not even close.

I think AB has too much pressure on him at the moment. He is not handling as captain and it's having a big impact on his batting. Amla hasn't done brilliantly but has not been too bad. Kallis had a total of about 10 balls of batting between the tests in England and the start of the tournament. Not exactly good preparation. All the time, SA were stuffing around with Levi, Faf, Parnell and Ontong giving them all plenty of batting practice and warm up time.

Stiff upper lip chaps, you win some, you lose some.:D

I still believe what I have said for a while now, Amla is your match winner, he fails SA fails, been like this for the last couple of months.
You guys better pray Amla is still on form for your next test series down under.

This is what team selection I want to see next game. Even though we lost this game and maybe out of the tournament.

Hashim Amla
Kallis
AB
JP Duminy
Faf Du Plessis
Justin Ontong
Albie Morkel
Robin Pieterson
Johan Botha
Dale steyn
Lonwabo Tsobebe

1. You need your top three players to face the most number of balls.
2. Dont tell me Morne Morkel because he has just been expensive in his last couple of matches and tsobebe has the variations on a slower pitch.
3. You need Justin Ontong because he is a good hitter of the ball unlike behardien who you just saw today.
4. You need faf because of his bowling.
