Can you blame people for being so upset? How much longer are they going to keep doing this to their fans? Easily the best team in the tournament on paper and they bomb out when it matters. The same old story with every tournament.

The team needs more Robbie P's who really give their all.
 
I will say this again,

Players that do not perform should forfeit their match fee.
Players who do, should receive a bonus.
See how the results change...

And start dropping players quickly and making people work to get into their national team:

1) Mike Hussey only started his intl. career at 30 years old or something like that...can you imagine an SA cricketer sticking around domestically for that long?

2) They dropped that Lewis guy after his dreadful over in the 437 game...never seen him play again. Harsh, but ultimately beneficial for Australians.
 
Yet again AB showed some skill with his bowling options...


Opening bowlers being saved for overs 19/20 and the match doesn't even go there.


AB's confidence as a batter has taken a knock by being captain.
 
our biggest problem is selecting a decent captain as our current one is not up to scratch.
 
AB does across as being blonde.

FFS this is a world cup.

I doubt the selectors have a clue as to their best 11.


Faf and Kallis has been selected on their IPL form.... They both opened.

Its just another poor show that makes me sick to the pit. Its a major fskup yet again.
 
So let me get this right.... general SA "supporter" opinion

Graeme Smith was a tosser an needed to go. AB was the man. Lose a few matches and AB is the worst captain ever. Wouldnn't surprise me to hear calls for Smith's return soon....
Levi is useless and must go.
Parnell is useless and must go.
Both the Morkels are useless and must go.
Kallis bats far too slow for T20 and must go. Add the fact that he is also too old. Definitely must go!

I'm interested in what players will actually be left to play if the "supporters" had their way...

EDIT: Oh, and bear in mind this view is capable of being changed on a whim. Hit a six and you are suddenly the best player ever. Get out next ball and you must be dropped. Hit a 50 and you are great. Drop a catch later and you must get out of the team. We are fickle after all.
 
Botha did a fantastic job as captain.

I'm sure that there is a behind-the-scene reasoning as to why he has been lost to South African cricket.

They are pretty much out now. Out of their hands. A couple of things that perplex me:

1) Levi - WTF is he still doing there?
2) Parnell - We have the number 1 ODI bowler in the world in our squad (Tsotsobi) and yet we pick Parnell as a bowler. Not an all rounder because he was batting at 9.
3) AB - I am sorry, he is not a good captain. Lots of poor decisions. Botha should be captain but they have stuffed him around so much that he is now moving to WA. Things like bringing back Parnell after his first over went for 11 when you have Kallis (8 RPO), Duminy (4 RPO) and Botha. Hell, our premier bowler Steyn didn't even get through all of his overs and run rate may just play a very important part in this tournament.
4) Kallis - you have one of our best batsmen and we don't give him any game time going into the tournament because we are too busy fiddling with the order and trying to justify a place for Levi.
5) I have to say it again because it's just crazy. Levi and Parnell, I mean WTF.

To me Smith is not a good T20 player anymore, it's good that he's gone.

AB is still young and new at his role, he'll learn and I think he has potential.

Levi must go, one game doesn't justify an opening position in international cricket.

Parnell is way to unpredictable, he will have a rare good day, the operative word there is rare.

I think both Morkels should be in the team.

Kallis can play any form of the game.
