Which one do you have? I have a the defy and am not upset I am not getting the upgrade as my phone only has a single core processor. You got the new RAZR?

I've seen reports of them porting it to the Nexus S already so holding thumbs they can port it to HTC Desire :D

I've heard that Adam over at Oxygen is busy working on an ICS ROM for the Desire. Really holding thumbs :)

Nope like you, only have the Defy. I realise it is single core and all the rest but I don't know. Still feel a bit stung by this whole thing? Maybe I am being over the top *quite possible* but I can't understand why so many Android phones have to be left behind.

ICS has being optimized for multi-core systems. Its not really going to add that much value to us. Our hardware is now dated... and thats how things are. If I had duel processors I would get upset, but not even my tablet has multiple processors so I dont expect to get an upgrade for my Samsung or my Motorolo. I imagine there will be an update out soon for the new RAZR. Its kinda like me buying BF3, and then realizing my graphics card, OS and CPU were not good enough to handle it. I had to buy a bunch of new hardware :D

I'm waiting with baited breath for the upgrade....

I currently have an 8.9 tab that I really want to get ICS onto, and my phone upgrade comes in about 3 months... and that will be an ICS android phone for sure.

Apparently most phones that can run Gingerbread *should* be able to take ICS?

/me hopes and prays this is true.

ICS almost ported to the SGS:

It's in Alpha 7 at the moment.

What works:
Both cellphones (i9000 & i9000b):
Hardware Acceleration
Audio
calls, sms, 3g (with a ugly patch but it works.)
Touch
Wifi
SDCards (internal and external)
Market
Contacts sync
Calendar sync
camera
panorama mode
face unlock
Gps

What does not work:
Bluetooth
Camera (video recording)

Seems it's almost ready for everyday usage!

Just one thing - the reason I haven't installed it yet is because you can't charge your phone while it's on
