Identity theft a growing concern

"People remain the greatest security risk though,"

hell people are mostly ignorant or just plain stupid.:o

I'm sorry but the average person is more at risk from a little dumpster diving than "new viruses, worms and Trojans".

Who here uses a shredder?

I don't but we all probably should I guess.

I've got a shredder, cost just over R100.

A flaw in ITC credit bureau which I experienced means someone be it incompetent or malicious can change your indentity. When I made an application for a credit card, because the person taking my application didn't correctly spell, my names were changed. My phone numbers have also been changed before and so in effect me. Fortunately I check my report but have to fax ITC my ID to prove who I am - in other words, if you as a company employee in a position to do this can recreate an identity to match a criminal intent
