Idiots using rear fog lights

lol, me too. but i think the gesture sometimes (read mostly) pass over the idiot-driver's head

When I smoked I would blast my washer fluid and empty the ashtray out the window - that generally made my point too. :)

My car has one of those electronically controlled rear blind things, I used to have a big note stuck to it which read: "If you are reading this your brights are on or you're up my arse, get off or switch off!

If someone got on my case I'd hit the switch to roll it out :D
Bit of a pain though cos the paper got a little dog eared and I worried that it would jam eventually.

Quick q, please don't say "they're for parking"...could someone please explain to me what park lights are actually for?

About rear foglights, my car allows me to pick between the front fogs or back fogs. i.e. you could have the front foglights on without the rare ones on. I don't understand peoples fascination with having their fogs on though...and i think with Audi going with these permanent twinkle light thingy's its going to make it even worse with people thinking "if Audi's can...so will I" (even if they're not the same thing)

Maybe the manufacturers should stop posing the cars with their fogs on in brochures and car magazines for one.
 
i hate idiots with their their rear fogs on ... what i do is get in front of them and turn on my rear fogs ... and play with my washers as well ...

They're so that your car is visible in low visibility areas when parked. Stopped on the side of dark roads, for example. Because the globes are low wattage, they don't drain the battery like leaving headlights on would.

Usually done by the "put my seat as far back as possible and lean forward anyway" brigade.

It's all about some kind of status or image that they think they get from doing it.

So true. You cant even begin to imagine how many people I have heard say "but it looks cool"

I was driving home today and got stuck behind one of those stupid QQ cars doing 60 in the right hand lane double rear fog lights on and her front ones when I finally got past her. Made my chuckle at all the people who thought that they looked cool with it now being as comman as sliced bread
 
Toyota's head lights are also too bright, even if they are not on bright...

Hehehe, yeah, the like sitting very low and have their arms hanging out the window. I just wish somthing would crash into their door.

I was uploading some photo's and found these today.. I had actually forgotten about them :D

On audi's and golf's, the light switch is a knob that you pull out once for front fogs and twice for rear fogs. It has a very small tolerance so if you pull even slightly too hard, the front and rears go on. Most people are too dense to realise this.

I'm going to try the brights tactic in future and see what response i get.

Same on Mercedes (guess VAG copied again) but in Mercedes it is HARD clicks you get when you pull it out so you KNOW you just switched on the fogs. Also, you CANNOT switch them on without having the headlights on and you get a very nice big green icon showing the fogs are on.
