You have to start somewhere with these investigations. And the place to start is with the baseline. Everything off or disconnected should equal zero usage.
This the way I discovered the illegal connection at my place. A cable from my meter into my neighbours yard feeding his pool.
The claim was that the "electrician" made a mistake" and connected to the wrong meter" ja right!
That's insane . Going to start this over the weekend. You have to start somewhere with these investigations. And the place to start is with the baseline. Everything off or disconnected should equal zero usage.

Check your rate schedule. Seems you're getting 350kWh (excluding free units) at a reduced rate and then the rest at a higher one.Excuse the smudged screenshots. Don't have fancy apps tracking my usage. Check the dates on my screenshots. The one for yesterday is the 19th of June.
Mine is definitely not consistent.

So what you're saying is I should buy 350kWh a shot? Where do I check my rate schedule?Check your rate schedule. Seems you're getting 350kWh (excluding free units) at a reduced rate and then the rest at a higher one.
No, they reset each month. So what you're saying is I should buy 350kWh a shot? Where do I check my rate schedule?
Then how is it possible for @Dolby to have consistent units each month? No, they reset each month.
No it doesn't matter how much you buy at a time as it allocates first number of units in a month at a specific rate and then the next at another rate. Don't know where you're located but also check your municipal account to see what rate you're on.So what you're saying is I should buy 350kWh a shot? Where do I check my rate schedule?
Only the indignant get free units, which they really strange on their definition of this, as my MIL is on a pension and she should technically be classified as this but they don't care.Check your rate schedule. Depends on your municipality, depends if you're in a complex and and. I get a consistent amount as well. I buy 500 units a month which at the moment cost me just over R700, next month it will be R90 more :-(Then how is it possible for @Dolby to have consistent units each month?
Nope depends on your municipality. Ekurhuleni the first 100kWh is automatically free on tariff A. Tariff B or in the case where tariff A can't be measured monthly there's no free units but a blended single rate instead.Only the indignant get free units, which they really strange on their definition of this, as my MIL is on a pension and she should technically be classified as this but they don't care.
That's pretty cool, in Johannesburg all the freebies were removed :-( in CPT as well unless you're poor.Nope depends on your municipality. Because half the people on the indigent list in Joburg were city employees and anc deployees. That's pretty cool, in Johannesburg all the freebies were removed :-( in CPT as well unless you're poor.
