I've just installed IE 8 and I'm unable to open any links whatsoever. I can visit a topic for instance here on MYBB, but click on a lick and nothing. If I right click on a link and say open in new tab, a new tab opens which says "connecting" and thats it, blank page.

I've turned off my popup blocker in in Options > Privacy. Have also enabled "Allow script initiated windows without size or position constraints" in Options > Security > Custom Level. Quite frankly I'm out of options :(

*wave fist at IE*

Use a different browser. I had that happen to me in IE8 when I had too many windows open (ie SQL Server, VS) and too many tabs open. It just refused to do anything. Sometimes trying to open the link again would help.

But yes, simple and best answer is to use anything but IE. Its a terrible browser. Get Google Chrome of Firefox, they dont suffer from those issues. And are much faster!

Its terrible trying to work like this. I moved away from IE7 thinking it would eliminate some of the errors I was getting whilst working on our .net site. Boy IE8 is a dead stick in the water.

I'll give FF a go. Used it some time back, think its time for a browser immigration. Thanks.
