You are ignoring some of the difficult questions that have been posed to you.
What policies do you subscribe to if not the DA neo-liberal ones (as you call them), and why do you think the policies you subscribe to will be able to effect change?
I ignored it because this thread in not a platform to debate ngwe23's economic policy. I do not want to derail the thread.

You're the one that brought it up.
What, did I bring up my own economic policies on this tread?
I hink we all want things to improve. People differ on how to get things to improve. I personally do not subscribe to DA's neo liberal policies. They will only succeed in entrenching established players and leaving the poor in the peripheries of our society.
I have already done that. Just in case you missesd it:You brought it up, and slated the DA's policies...
You need to clarify why you think they won't work, and why you think whatever policies (which you need to explain) will work.

Yes, right there.
No buddy. This is not bring MY economic policies. I am just critiquing DA's policies. Big difference.
This is the last I will say on this matter.
There is no way Mashaba is better than Parks Tau. Mashaba is a political novice.
Donald Trump is actually a piss poor businessman...
And btw, running a city is pretty much the same as running a large business. I know, its a strange idea but run with it in your head.
Trump’s net worth has grown about 300% to an estimated $4 billion since 1987, according to a report by the Associated Press. But the real estate mogul would have made even more money if he had just invested in index funds. The AP says that, if Trump had invested in an index fund in 1988, his net worth would be as much as $13 billion.
So what policies do you subscribe to then? And why do you think they will improve things?
Geesus, wtf did I just read?
Herman Mashaba is a business minded genius. He is EXACTLY what Johannesburg needs. The only reason the EFF doesn't want him is because of him being business minded. They know they will have to beg, lie and steal to get money allocated to projects he would deem not to be of "Business" value. Johannesburg has been stolen dry. Herman Mashaba will make the books balance again and sure as hell, won't spend a cent more than is budgeted for. This is the EFF's issue.
Uhm, you do realise that the Johannesburg books'have been "balanced" for a while now? Evidenced by the ratings upgrade by Fitch and Moodys if you don't believe me...

Its a "fake" balance
But, yes they have been balanced for a while, but that doesn't mean the city can't be run a hell of a lot better and I'm sure you will agree with that.
Definitely on the efficiency we agree. But I have noticed a misconception that it's mismanaged.
I think for a lot of us, the inefficiency is a symptom of the mismanagement...
