If Skype is open WAMP does not work

Just installed skype (I hate it, filled with ads and slow as hell)

What causes this Wamp interference?

I have to either

Run Wamp services before Skype

or

Quit Skype -> Run WAMP -> Run Skype

I suppose some port conflict?

has to be port conflicts.. or at least thats the first thing that jumps to mind.. the wamp logs should state this though..

just move to a vm environment for the wamp services though..

Uncheck: "Use port 80 and 443 for additional incoming connections"

Skype uses port 443 and 80. A rather perplexing decision.

Also, you can disable adverts in skype by adding : Https://apps.skype.com to your restricted sites in internet options -> security in windows control panel.

You need to open Skype, Tools > options

Then click on Advanced in the left menu and then Connection.

Skype uses port 80 by default and WAMP uses the same. So change Skype's port number to something else and restart. And then also restart WAMP.

That should work!
