If you could only pick one device, which one would it be?

I would pick a tablet, it has the capabilities of the high end androids being released and..To some extent can replicate the use of a laptop.
 
Tablet. Best of both worlds. All functionality of a smartphone (if it's cellular capable that is) and most from a laptop
 
Il take a smartphone it's portable and any1 can do many things with it checking of emails jobs hunting on internet or even apply for jobs
 
Hi. Taking into account that it is one device for the rest of your life one will have to look at practicality. One cannot carry a pc around with you. A laptop is to big or bulky if you would like to spend the day for argument's sake at a beach or pool, etc. So, that leaves us with tablet or smart phone. Personally I'll go for the smart phone purely based on the physical dimensions. Its smaller and you can fit it into a shirt or trousers pocket easily. As for brand, that depends on the operating system. I love the versatility of android so that get rids of iPhone immediately. As for the rest - Nokia will be the choice. Taking into account that the latest model Nokia that AT LAST runs on android is only available in China to the best of my knowledge.

So how many people do you know that have upgraded their smart phones? PCs can be upgraded continuously.

Rest of your life? Look back 20 years would you be happy with a Nokia 2010? A PC could have been upgraded with new components regularly. Try doing that with an iPhone, can you even change the battery?
 
Id have to go with the NACON Revolution controller for PS4, along with the VR headset. I think those two combined with Battlefield 1, or War Thunder will be immersion at its finest. Now DICE and EA just needs to get their act together with regards to the local servers!
 
My iPhone 6, or whatever phone I happen to have at the time.
 
As much as I love my Asus ROG laptop...I really miss having a desktop and being able to upgrade with ease. Therefore that is what I'd go for (along with attached massive UPS cause we all know how well our power runs in this country...!)
