IFP Hits Back

IFP - a year or so ago, you would have got my vote.
DA - where are you? Did my vote count for nothing?
ANC - to be expected - yet another monopoly.

mmmmm....they can take our broadband but they can never take our TFTs, Routers, Hdd's, DVDs, P2P S/W, the millions of d/l's i've done, my damn see-through mouse, or my good chair.

Has our minister of Communications Dr Ivy Matsepe Casaburri Communicated anything about the ICASA findings? She is the most incompetent person I know in the eye of the public, it's just plain besetting!

Agreed, maybe she's taking a nap ;)

re using IFP folks to stir the pot - go for it - remember though, that this is an issue that affects EVERYONE in SA, regardless of Party (or ethnic group, class etc )

It doesnt matter what Party decides to use this issue to help their own agendas - thats fine, as long as it means the reality of the situation gets effectively communicated to the public, and the State.

We should make sure that the whole ICASA thing isn't allowed to be painted as an issue from this or that Party alone.

So speak to the IFP folks - but to keep it nice and balanced, can someone speak to any DA contacts as well - and while we're at it, if there're any ANC, Communist and/or Unionists on Forum - help us out by seeing what you can do to get the issue raised.

This will mean tactically, that Telkom gets hit from all political sides..

This issue IS simply about one single massively greedy capitalist company, with no competition to restrain it, versus the democratic State.

Its clearly impacting negatively on South Africa's economy - and now is perhaps the time to use whichever political groups are available, to help legislate this out-of-control Company back into the cage it should be in.

Telkom is not picking a fight just with ICASA, but with all its unsatisfied customers.

Yeaaahhhh, lets beat them NOW!!! Thanks IFP, that was just great!!

Mr.White did us proud today with his statement. His threats have been very welcomed in the SA public. Thanks Mr. White, good job...:D

btw. did you find another job already?

Letter sent to IFP thanking them for addressing this issue and giving them our support.

Excellent Peapod. Now we'll see which party will put their money where their mouth is. The time for all talk and no action is long past. They must realise that the next time we vote, we'll have this in mind.

The DA is against the droping of the line rental. Twats

Meanwhile, the Democratic Alliance’s representative on the parliamentary portfolio committee for communications, Dene Smuts, says Icasa’s decision to scrap monthly charges is puzzling, and the findings show a lack of authority expected from a regulator.
