I'm getting a Wii!

My aunt just told me she's buying me a Wii when she comes down here in April as a late Christmas present :P Yay me! Yay Wii
 
Got mine early in the year and up until recently all it was doing was gathering dust. Super Mario Galaxy changed all that. Terrific and fun game all round. Aside from that I would say that Metroid Prime 3 and of course Zelda TP should be high on your "to get games" list.
 
Will definitely hint at those added extras then ;) haha thanks for the advice
 
If I had a large TV, I'd actually consider getting for once, on a console that whole controller thing where you can play with your family in tennis etc... that's really pretty cool, wish one could do that on pc.
 
must say I had a look at the wii and my kiddy went to play with a friend who has one, and the result was a big no no - I actually have no idea how the wii took off, no wonder nintendo were taken by surprise - besides the gimmicky hand controller it actually looks crappy, really 80's type graphics - PS2 and xbox 360 way better, but then again, they can't make enough, so if thats what makes the ppl happy then so be it.
 
Nintendo tapped into the legacy gamer market- bad graphics but then again we werent focusing on the graphics as much when we were growing up- now were ssssssspoilt for choice:)

What have you been smoking? It depends on the game you fool. The gamecube had better graphics than the PS2, so how on earth can the wii be worse than the PS2?

The reason people like the Wii is because it is fun. If all that you played were crappy PS2 ports than that's your own fault, not the Wiis.

That is for sure. There really is no experience like it out there right now. Sure, the graphics are not awesome( but they were never intended to be) and there aren't a lot of great games available yet, especially in SA(but that will change with time), but the overall experience is one for the whole family and one that is very addictive.

My mate only has the Sports Pack which comes with the Wii console, but this has kept him, myself and numerous mates entertained for some weeks now.

If I had the cash and were looking to buy a console, it would be the Wii without a doubt.

I've already got the 360 so the Wii will be a welcomed addition due to the "different" type of games it has compared to the 360.
 
I have played the xBox, PS3 and recently the Wii thanks to v3g. with the first 2 I was always in 2 minds about whether the buy one or not. I was instantly hooked on the Wii. Its what a game console suppose to be, fun.

That's exactly what thougt. Except I've got a pc, not a 360. Just please don't listen to all that rubbish "the wii is about arty games" bull****.

I'll lit the games I've got for the Wii at the moment:

Zelda: TP
Mercury Meltdown Revolution
Super Mario galaxy
Metriod Prime3 corruption


The games I'll be getting next year:
Medal of honour:heroes2
Super smash brawl
No More Heroes
Zak and Wiki
Battalion wars2
Resident evil umbrella chronicles

and others I can't think about at the moment.

Did you see that I didn't list even 1 party game? Mostly just great single player titles.
 
Haha another game I'm looking forward to for the Wii is Spore. Will Wright said we're going to be able to do some cool things with the Wiimote.

Sorry dude, don't smoke, and I find the wii to be rubbish, but as I said they can't make enough, so tons of ppl love the thing, but I think its crappy so sue me - if you think its cool then get one, I think its a waste of money, poor graphics and not fun, much prefer the xbox - nothing to do with console wars, was really keen on getting one to add to the ps2 and xbox 360 until I tried it out..reminds me of crappy atari generation games, just not for me, so sorry for not liking it but just don't.
 
i played it at musica (call me a cheap ass, :p i don care), its jus to play with friends, but alone it must get boring
 
Wii60Station combination ftw :D

For Wii i cant wait for Super Smash Bros Brawl, No More Heroes and Trauma Center: New Blood (can't help it, that game has me somehow captivated). Still have to get my hands on a PAL version of Metroid Prime 3 too.
 
I read on this forum somewhere that similar motion controls are going to be made for the 360/PS3? True?

If so, we'll have the graphics AND the fun!

That would really kill the sales of the Wii. If they can match the Wii's gameplay that is. Take away the Wii's innovative controls and it's nothing.
