I never really spend my money on anything - and if I do, it ends up being computer parts or software i.e. games etc.
My last buy was a paintball marker & kit... set me back R1.6k and provides some awesome outdoor fun with my mates.
Next purchase: Longboard + Wetsuit. Been surfing & body-surfing for 15 years now or so and figured it's time i move over to longboards even though I've never bothered with wetsuits.: R 2k
Future purchase: T-Rex radio controlled model Helicopter: R 3500

Dude, I really agree on the charity suggestion. Get a GROOT POT of soup made, and go to a homeless shelter with about 50 half loaves bread. Get few guys to help you to give it out and then you sleep over what the balance can do for you.
At least you know you not wasting that money but also, you not using all up. Will definitely be less than a grand.
