im thinking about getting a XBOX360

That’s wrong, you have to phone Microsoft and get a ref. Number then go to musica and demand a swap they have to do it right there and then.
Correct me if I’m wrong but when this happened to me the guy from Microsoft said they have to swap it. The store will just get an new one
 
the lady was nice so i dont mind.
plus I can still play games so im happy
 
WebHosting is right, you are meant to phone M$ first...

Anyway it seems to be working your way, to keep your save files disconnect the HDD from your box when you swap it out... Then let them keep the new HDD. Done ;)
 
or keep both :D now u gave me a plan.... and the headset ima keep ..... hm....
 
dude! You don't need to swap the whole box just the faceplate! You can pull that part of the 360 off and even buy different coloured / themed replacements! You don't want to swap the boxes because your XBLA arcade content is signed to a specific unit and you will only be able to play XBLA games if you're signed in and online.

Take out any disk, turn it off then hold it fast and pull forward on faceplate via the gap on the right of the box (just next to the usb flap) and the faceplate will just pop off.

Oh and don't waste your time on intercoolers the box does not need one. Just make sure it has ventilation space.
 
Dude, where can I get the chrome cover? I need it bad. I suppose i could take it apart and send it in for cold chroming.

I will c if I can find the original website that i got the pics from ( I found it by chance ). I think u order the parts from uk ( for dirt cheap ) then they ship it and u pimp it.
 
Sweet, I can always rip it apart and send the parts off for chroming.

I found a cold chroming plant in CT just gotta get prices. I never liked the white case anyway.

How about matt black nickel plated, that would be awesome.
 
Drool. Sounds cool.

I think I saw the Chrome faceplate at take2 for about R120. Alternatively there's a 3 pack available at TRU, black, silver and Camo for R100 but they're 3rd party not MS parts.
