Imagine Uncapped Feedback

That inspires tons of hope ; However, I really want to know what they deem "abusive" or "excessive" . Just checking, is this the imagine service? The nexus support seems to be better as my ticket was responded to very quickly but can't say the same for imagine support as I have filled out the form and still have not been responded to.

My experience with Imagine support is BRILLIANT. I got my account activated by live support at 9 o'clock tonight. they have 24/7 weekday support.

I just called our support team and they don't have any outstanding tickets so hopefully they have either got back to you by now.

- Regarding the ping, latency and download times I have to say that there might be a few teething problems with IS on this account. They've rushed it out and so their IPC prioritising might not be 100%... it will get a LOT better I believe though as they have so much free IPC in the evening. I expect that they are servicing the After Hours guys slightly before this at present becuase of the amount of money that people have spent this month... I would expect it to get a lot better in the evenings.

Again, all speculation and so I'm as keen as you guys to see how this account performs as we're told it will surpass the other out there.

+1 for Imagine. I've been with them for a number of years now on a business package (512 fibre uncapped/unshaped), and their service and response is exceptional. I'd certainly recommend them.

Just downloaded a 72.5mb file with uTorrent.

Download time was 49 minutes.

Average speed was 25.8kB/s

Hope things will improve...

Legally no one can say 4096k or 4MB line... although they do.
Telkom state this as a best case service that will be between 1-4MB based on the distance blah blah blah... also because the Tier 1 provider will not guarantee 4MB because of this and their own product.

Noone should really be saying 4MB line as it's very much a lie. Again, this has been argued in the courts in many countries now and I am just saving he hassle of having to be involved.

Telkom state that ADSL is a best case service and every Tier 1 provider can not guarantee 4MB... so therefore we state 1-4MB... it's basically that boring and simple :D

Don't be fooled guys. I had the honor of testing it. I get max speed on p2p and this was this afternoon during peak time. p2p and http full speed all the way.

In fact I'm thinking of changing from Mweb to this account. That is how good I think it is.

Cavedog, How is youtube? And please report back tomorrow with feedback on NNTP, torrents, youtube ect. Thanks! To many to choose from!

Youtube actually works. Not like the buffering sometimes from Mweb.

I have played Bad Company 2 with not lag at all.

I didn't use Usenet sorry. But if p2p gets max speed I'm sure usenet will be better.

I got a Mweb account when it was launched. I'm changing to this account ASAP. So if that's anything to go by.

I now have confirmation on the following points and will be updating the site with everything shortly...

Cancellations
If you cancel before the 15th of the month your account will not be charged for the following month (i.e. not 30 days cancellation)

Pro-rata billing
Pro rata billing for everyone...
Due to the EFT/Debt Order banking issues... if you order the account on the 20th or after we will invoice you for the >=10 days and the following month.

Immediate invoicing
Hopefully in place by end next week. This is a new one for me as I expect my invoice after I've paid when dealing online but it has been brought to my attentiona nd so we're changing it. Order confirmation and invoive to be sent immediately after the order process.

Control Panel
We have one and it does the typical monitoring etc... you get your login and password details when you ADSL account has been created.
EDIT: As soon as IS techies reply to us (waiting 2 days now) but is immediate and should be in the next couple of hours
