I see an ad on MyAdsl which shows uncapped from R520. But when going to the site it shows it is for a 192 line. Are there still 192 lines available?

The lines aren't available but I think they limit your speed independent of the line speed.

they speed limit the account, u can have 4mbit line. But will get 192K international speeds. Maybe little faster on local *not sure if they will restrict speeds on local, but email them*

Hi PearlJam

We limit the speed of your actual internet usage. You can get any combination of package on any line, eg a 384k uncapped on a 4meg line will still be limited on our side to 384k

Hope this helps!

And there's no limit at all on http traffic? no hidden ceilings etc.
Just need more info before I move.
Contention ratios?

Hi Synergy

No, no 'rolling windows', hidden ceilings, etc. The contention ratios are subject to IS's network utilization. Should be close to full speed on local access, and international will vary depending on network load and destination.

So the 192k @ R520/month is capped at ((((192k/8)*60)/1024)*60*24)=2025MB a day, round about. That is about +- 60GB a Month. R520 + R152 Line rental = R672. R11.2 per GB then. Not bad.

The R520 is ex VAT. So R592.80 + R152 = R744.80 (assuming R152 incl VAT) so R12.41 per GB then ;) I know big difference :p
