I picked up this app when it was free the other day and see it can stream to a wifi TV or PS3 (which I have). Has anyone used it? I see it has lots of channels and I streamed a few minutes of Nat Geo HD to my TV via the PS3. I stopped because I use Vodacom 3G and didn't want to get surprise sore butt.

What I don't understand is that some channels say "Free" but the Nat Geo HD I streamed didn't say free yet I could stream it? I will buy 20Gig prepaid and try it out some more to gauge data usage and free-dom.

I tried this out with most of the channels working albeit randomly, quite cool. I did however notice some strange software on my PC, eventually it hijacked Chrome - just a word of warning!

i actually bought the paid app for streaming videos on my phone to xbmc. no problems so far haven't even looked at the channels

Thanks guys, this thing is data hungry not one to try on my Vodacom contract. The few minutes I streamed Nat Geo HD cost me a couple 100Mbs so I will really have to wait until I can get at least a 20Gig before trying again and seeing if anything else there is worth a watch.

Can this app stream video stored from your iPad to a smart TV?

yes it can, it can stream to my networked TV, amp, and PC. I prefer streaming to the PC because it is easier to pause, etc.

I don't own a smart TV but if your TV has wifi I'm sure it will stream to it. I didn't actually think it would stream to the PS3 when I got it, I simply downloaded it because it was free from $4.99 and thought I'd hoard for possible future use:p

Eish missed that price drop, although at that stage I didnt have a smart TV.

Pity the app can't playback AC3 audio - there was some licensing issue and the dropped support for it a while back and haven't brought support back yet. Most of my content has no audio because of this.

Every single app now has an issue with AC3. They've had to drop it due to licensing issues.
