Is there a limit that iMessage can show in one go?

I don’t use it at all - it just sits there. It does, however, get a large amount of SMS. I’ve built up 100s and I want to delete.

Seems no option for all delete all?

So my next trick was simply to select all messages and delete that way - but that seems to show like 50 or 70 at a time.

When those are deleted it shows No Messages - but the badge on the app still reflects. I then need to shut down and only in restart, I see another batch

Curious if everyone’s behaves this way?

I’m on my 5th reboot right now

Use this instead of managing it manually.

What’s likely happening is that you have iCloud messaging enabled so it’s downloading messages as you go which is why it’s showing up in batches.

Thanks.

Sorted with the first issue - it was on forever. Regarding the second part , how do I change that?

If that’s the case, a bit silly that to get the next chunk you have to restart . Where’s the toggle to check?

I would imagine restarting just forces it, but if you leave it then it will update at some interval.

Can’t say I can replicate it my side but also not really in the mood to try and delete stuff.
