Where do all you guys live in UK?

I am in Basildon, Essex. About 30 minutes east of London by train.

Some people have zero interest in the UK.

A friends Father in law told me over the weekend:

“You’re doing a good thing moving. But I have zero interest in the UK. They have big problems over there. There’s like 50% Muslims there now. Not for me thanks”.

I just said: “Okay,” and walked off.

It’s still a better option than trying to figure out what to do next with your life in South Africa while it’s burning to the ground.

Nice soft landing type of town, but unaffordable to buy and overall very expense. Will probably move elsewhere when/if interest rates cool down a tad

Just about, funnily enough there actually are old mine workings not that far away from me.

Man I love the UK. On my way back to SA tomorrow, but made enough money in one week to last all of December and then some. It absurd how acceptable a £1000 day rate is here.

My advice, just pay the visa fees, you will make back the money in 3-4 days max!

That's hardly good advice. Very few people are on that sort of money. The average salary is 27k a year.

If you have the funds and ability to pay the visa fees you are not going to be on an average salary. Over a two and a half year period between visas it’s really not that difficult to put away the money for visa and nhs fees.

Fair. But my point was that getting the money back in 3 or 4 days is not really accurate.
