Yep been here for almost 8 years and still haven’t totally gotten used to that. Sun going down at 10PM messes with my circadian rhythm, too. Wife and I sometimes look at each other and are like “quite hungry, you?” and then realise it’s 9PM and we haven’t had dinner yet.

You’ll enjoy it. Summers are lively in general with a lot of events on. Streets and parks are already buzzing in the evenings.
Yeah, we're so looking forward to it.
There is Pirates day going on, in Hastings - where we will be, during our stay. The wife is going to another festival with her mate in Brighton and there is the international Medieval jousting tournament at Arundel castle at the end of July, which we are also hoping to go to before we leave.
Then there is all the smaller events and parks etc we will be going to with the family.
Going to be a busy and hot July I hope, can't wait!

That is a serious drive.
Would be something very different and maybe we will go. Depending on the dates.

We most definitely can, depending on dates. The tournament is in the last week of July and I really want to go see it. We fly out back to SA on the 27th.

Not even Wikipedia will accept the Daily Mail as a factual source, that should tell you that it isn't really a good publication to make assumptions or form opinions from.
