Immigrating to the UK

I need to go between Northwich and Crewe, I see d&g has a route and offer contactless payments.

I guess I just get on the bus and ask the driver for a ticket and pay via card? Seems easy enough.

You can, or you can download the "My Trip" app and buy 10 trips for £15. You would then just present your phone to the reader when getting on.

Lyca aren't bad, it's a decent back up. My eSim is actually unlimited minutes/texts and 3GB data for 1p a month (for six months). Just don't expect superspeeds, 10Mbps on 4G usually and maybe around 200Mbps on a good 5G mast, though nearer 100Mbps is more normal.

EE can push over 300Mbps on 4G and 800Mbps on 5G. The fastest I've had is over 1400Mbps on Three 5G.
Just loaded a Lyca eSim - 20gb for £5 should see me out for the time I'm there. TBH I was a little surprised it activated from SA.

My wife got a free sim card with data with her visa so she'll try that one first.

Slightly warmer inside than outside. All windows open and fans working overtime.

Still not as bad as when it hit 38 in the office when the HVAC died. Beautiful glass building that made it a greenhouse. No windows to open anywhere because the aircon was self contained and drew fresh air into the building from the outside. Management wouldn’t allow anyone to come in wearing shorts and t-shirts. It took them 4 days to bring in industrial fans that just moved the hot air around a bit quicker.

Thankfully I was on leave at the time.

I wonder why she got that. Interesting.

I’ll just grab an O2 sim or something like I normally do when I get there and go into town.
I was happy with how easy the Lyca esim setup went - I'll probably set my kid up with one as well.

I've currently got a back up esim in my iPhone from Lyca, costs me 1p a month for the first 6 months (unlimited calls and texts and 3GB of data).

I'm looking for something like that for my son and his iphone, but the cheapest I can find is £1.99 for like 3 months from Lyca
