BTW, I love holidaying in the UK - it is beautiful, but I miss the sun on my skin way too much.

Yes, but then they didn’t bill for electricity.Will just budget an average cause no doubt I’ll get it charged next month. EDF billing seems to fall over every time the tariff changes.
What normally happens is I submit gas readings and get a bill immediately.(my gas meter is not connecting so doesn’t send readings, to be fixed next month)Can't you get them to push out a new bill? Octopus will do one in 48 hours if there's an issue with them billing on bill date (happened to me 2 months ago, my tariff needs daily meter readings and if the smart meter drops one it prevents the billing run). Octopus just refresh the account and re-bill, works really well.
Six big ones, and quite a few other small ones.
Octopus is considered the most innovative and best customer service.

Bulb Energy is no more, the customer base was moved to Octopus late last year.
Thanks. I need to do more reading up on how energy is generated and distributed there out of curiosity.
