Immigrating to the UK

Lads, it’s that time of the year again! Been through Admiral, Marshmallow and 1st Central - who’s next? Who’ve you gone with?

I've been with Hastings Premier for a few years now, you've been here long enough to go mainstream for insurance now, haven't you?

Tesco, of all things. About £300 less than Admiral was trying to renew for, and with all the bells and whistles.

Also good is LV=. Fantastic customer service.

So it’s only been a few days we’ve been out here on holiday.

I can see it now more than ever; having our son around his family is everything. You don’t realize it until you have that experience with them and the kids.

We’re convinced of our decision now.

What decision?

Sorry, I did mention it earlier but of course not everyone is following the thread.

We’re emigrating and moving here to the UK. With no family in SA - and all the family in the UK it makes the most sense for us. Our son who is 13 months; needs to grow up around them.
Oh ok,

Good luck with that :)

Move to the US rather. Better weather, plenty of jobs, and now they have cricket.

It’s a big country. Lots of schools. Statistically you’re probably as safe here as anywhere.
No doubt. The real issue with the states is that it is very difficult to get into. With the breadth of its climate, terrain and culture it would be hard not to take up an opportunity to live there.

And don't forget there's still a Trump sized storm on the horizon...

Brown recluse spiders.

Dealbreaker. Don't want to be shot and don't want to be mauled to death by a pinky sized docile creature who'll accidentally bite you to death.
