People say that ps3 games are region free right so if i import it why cant i download the dlc from my psn store since the game is region free itt should read dlc from all psn stores..
please ellaborate and i have a sd tv will imported ps3 games still work no problem?
Wow, cant you people just answer the OP's question?
The PS3 is region free for PS3 games ONLY. DVD's, PS1 (and PS2 if the model is PS3 model is older) and Bluray are all region coded.
That said, DLC is not exactly region free (some could be, some wont be). DLC is like a software update (for a game or PS3 firmware): it is usually specific to a certain copy type of the game. I assume this to be due to the coding of the software itself. But it is also most likely due to Sony not wanting people to use the PS Store in regions in which they are not from. Or any other reason.
Point is, some DLC is region locked and you'll need to find the store which is associated to your PS3 copy to ensure 100% compatibility.
For your last question, your TV type should not stop an import game from running. Granted, I used an EDTV to start with so I may be slightly incorrect but it is possible a game may end up being in black and white due to the SDTV.
May I ask why you are interested in importing PS3 games?
