just looking at one of my ps3 game cases right now, it says its region 2 and pal.

anyways why would you want to import a game? why not leave it to take2/kalarari and just buy from them?

Troll much? Im guessing 3000 of those 4200 posts are as useless as your contribution to this thread. After being ignored you had to repost a seemingly useless addition to the thread to get your small bit of attention from the random masses. Rofl

I know where i can get a canoe,i will save the insects ^^

To answer the OP: all PS3 games are region free, although the DLC may be region locked. Also, you'll need to have a UK/US credit card payment method for the US/UK PSN stores. Alternatively you can import US/UK PSN vouchers to DL their PSN games and DLC, but if for example you have a PAL game copy, NTSC DLC may not work, but this is dependant on the game.

Wow, cant you people just answer the OP's question?

The PS3 is region free for PS3 games ONLY. DVD's, PS1 (and PS2 if the model is PS3 model is older) and Bluray are all region coded.
That said, DLC is not exactly region free (some could be, some wont be). DLC is like a software update (for a game or PS3 firmware): it is usually specific to a certain copy type of the game. I assume this to be due to the coding of the software itself. But it is also most likely due to Sony not wanting people to use the PS Store in regions in which they are not from. Or any other reason.

Point is, some DLC is region locked and you'll need to find the store which is associated to your PS3 copy to ensure 100% compatibility.

For your last question, your TV type should not stop an import game from running. Granted, I used an EDTV to start with so I may be slightly incorrect but it is possible a game may end up being in black and white due to the SDTV.

May I ask why you are interested in importing PS3 games?
