Important DA announcement expected

Im asking about the court case. What was the result of the trial?
No news on that, but I'm asking about the DA so-called investigations. How come years later they haven't sacked either of them?

Should we go through the list of ANC criminals who are still in positions of power? Let's start at #1...

/snip long list of depts

These depts are responsible to uplift the country.

Rea change is effected by the lowest tier of government as you well know. The other two are more overseers and don't work at the coal face.

That is only somewhat true. Who holds the purse strings on a national level? Who plans and pays for the civil works in newly created living areas. Who owns most of the open land? Who allocates SAPS resources to and within areas? etc...

Who hands out food parcels just before every election?

Lol no. Let's take Lindiwe, during the fallout following her leaving it emerged that HZ had been bailing her bacon a few times. Who's to say given that particular sour incident that Mmusi isn't just some figurehead with the real decisions being made by others in the back office? Just going by history here, Lindiwe was after all being "groomed" as the next potential DA leader.

Lindiwe was intelligent, but she is no Mmusi. I dont know if you dont understand whats required of a leader or if you dont understand Mmusi. Im not sure yet. A person can mentor someone as much as they want, there is no guarantee they will even get a councilor position.

Mmusi has got support in the party because people like him and want to follow him. No one is telling anyone that they need to vote for him or support him. For Mmusi to get the type of support he has, he has earned it across many different fronts.

And you say the voters (for the leader) make up their own minds but then who can say whether or not those decisions are clouded by a need to front the party as more inclusive to fight the all white male image many believe. Real or imagined.
Well your conspiracy stories aside. People are not going to vote for Mmusi just cause he is black. We have many black members in the DA. We picked up almost a million black votes in the last election. In my province we have incredible diversity. I believe more than any other major party in any other province. I know the delegates the EC will be sending will be a majority woman and majority non-white. A leadership position is generally one of trust. People are only going to vote for someone whom they trust to take the party forward. If there was no exceptional candidate like Mmusi and say it was a De Lille - Athol choice... Athol would be our next leader.

You remind me so much of American Republicans. Cause apparently Obama only got elected cause he was black ;)

So the CoCT is only responsible for claiming the benefits of the working city but not so much the dysfunctional squalor ridden areas? Or are you saying what we're actually seeing here is the DA taking credit for ANC success in the affluent part of the WC? You can't have it both ways.

So you have said someone is guilty without knowing the verdict of the trial?

If a DA councilor is accused of something, its splashed all over the news. I assume the trial did not go as IOL would have liked it or it would have been front page news :)

Why make it a 'mines bigger than yours' question? This is about accountability and statements that the DA government is somehow better. It is not. They are just better at spin, which R13 alluded to as well.

It was front page man. Stop trying to spin a problem away. Show us progress of the investigation the DA claimed they are making.

In the assault case, the councillor admitted fault (there is video footage), yet he remains undisciplined years later.

Okay, show me the front page newspaper where the results of the trial is? Show me the headline that shows if he is guilty or not guilty. I only see the accusations.

You're ignoring the question (spin again) about the DA INVESTIGATION.

Im not sure if you are being silly or something. How would I have access to an internal disciplinary investigation? I know they generally wait to see how things pan out in court and then go from there. So tell me, where is this front page newspaper article you told us about showing that the councilor was guilty? Where you lying about that?

The DA is reported as saying they will comment when their own investigation is complete. I'll submit that there is NO investigation since it has been years since it began and we have heard zero comment.

Show me that his guilty. Unless you were lying about that front page article it should not be hard. Right now you are asking why a DA disciplinary committee has not found him guilty of something you cant even show me he is guilty of.
