Download and run DRTCP (see attachment below) or run directly from http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

Look at the adapter settings drop down and modify all iBurst Terminal settings to an mtu of 1392

Each time you plug your iBurst modem into a different USB port, there will be a new adapter configured. (It is useful to plug your iBurst modem into each USB port, then run DRTCP to set the mtu on each adapter configuration)

What is the default MTU setting of the old White Iburst modem?

In other topic I wrote that 1352 works better than 1392 in LAN edition with router.
Tests:
1352:

1392:

With all the times that I've changed my MTU values I've never noticed a performance difference :/

Changing the MTu may not have a major performance impact , but some sites that do have problems with fragmented packets ( and there are some ) will work once you lower the MTU size.

screamer for gaming is apparently shyt, and from what I've read the throughput speeds on screamer are also rubbish :/

good to know thanks Mental-Tree.
I was going to look at them as I'm know tired of Iburst excuses. guess I'll have to look else where.

Last night I thought I would give the MTU change a try and it did make a difference. I played around with the auto, 1392 and 1352 settings on my Linksys router connected to the iBurst modem. Compared to the auto setting the 1392 setting yielded better online gaming while the 1352 setting sped up my online browsing.

OMFG. I thought I would play around with this DrTCP thing. Now, or I did something wrong or it ain't working at all for me and I need the defaults back, if anyone can help me with that, plz.

Test before I began. Ignore the low upload speed.

I have my desktop modem connected via the ethernet port.

Okay, I found the secret of increasing your Iburst speed.

Check this...

I unplugged my antenna and put the desktop modem in the window and this is my speed now. :O

My antenna stand on the curtain railing with the normal antenna rised about 1.5 m on a pole. My reception stays on 98-100%
