Income protection when can it be used?

I was looking at my discovery policy, that includes income protection.

Can I only claim if I am retrenched? or could I claim if my company to pay us a bit less until business picks up?

There is so much info on the policy, can't always make sense of it all.

Pretty clear -

Loss of income due to temporary or permanent disability. Do you have either?
Sickness - are you sick?

Says nothing about due to being quarantined.

Yep. Basically you need an event which qualifies for sick leave.
