I live in a small complex and a relative has moved in 4 units from, me in the same row.
I have a Telkom DSL line and a ZyXEL router. I can pick up a signal on my laptop in other rooms and in the garden but not at my relatives house. Does anyone know if it's possible to boost the signal from my Router.

Thanks

Assuming you have already checked the power output of the ZyXel, I'd try to re-position the two end points first to allow for more line of sight operation. If that does not work, a directional antennae, or focusing of the current one http://www.scottowen.org/parabolic trough.jpg might do the trick. But you would then need to do this on both sides by e.g. installing a router on the other side as well. How far is the two units from each other by the way?

Remember that increasing the signal will make it less secure as well. What is your relative using to pick up your signal?

Yip.

How far?
Two routers?
Router + Notebook?

Wouldn't your neighbors allow a cable?
