Are WiFi/Fibre providers allowed to not give you notice about an increase that is die for the first of the following month?

They are allowed to do what they want. My ISP simply changes the amount, and if you dont pay the amended invoice they disconnect your internet.

This is what I don't get, MetroFibre is very hard on their prepaid users. Not only do we pay MORE for LESS if we do the irresponsible thing and take a contract that we can't cover every month, not only will we pay LESS we will get MORE.

They are set on rewarding bad behavior but yea ISPs can do whatever they want. Who has the money to take them to court? Anyone?

They usually give notice. But I can imagine things don't always goes as planned.
