buddy old pal....the ANC do not own 40% of Telkom. The GOVERNMENT own 40-ish percent of telkom.
The ANC is not the government. There is a lot of ANC in the government but there are also lots of other political parties represented that make up the government. The government is not the ANC.

Debbie2 made a very good post regarding this exact misconception. cant find it but i know your analytical mind will seek it.

there is often a misconception as to the legal difference between the state and the ruling party

but there is plenty of evidence in SA that the ANC is often confused about this and believes that it is the government. is it that different anywhere else?

OK I take your point. I really meant the government, that is controlled by the ANC. It makes little or no difference to my statement does it? I think you're nitpicking.
