Indoor thermometer

I have an Oregon Scientific Prysma weather station that I have been using a for a few years and it has been great.

I am looking at getting one of their rain gauges now, something like this.

It's a little pricey. The radio controlled atomic clock is not going to be of any use to me in SA.

But it does look good.

I used my Standard Bank uCount points to buy the Prysma Chrome and will use Discovery Miles to get a digital rain gauge, they are nice to haves but not essentials.

I bought 4 of them. The instruction manual is the worst I've ever seen. Setting them will be trial-and-error guesswork. As I had 4, I had the opportunity to compare readings. There was never more than a 2 degree or 2% discrepancy between the best and the worst. Conclusion = They're OK but definitely not precision instruments. Stick it on the veranda for casual perusal.
This thermometer is utter junk. The probe is a long piece of cable - it looks so hideous.
The temperature is way off, 4 degC off.
That's too inaccurate for me.

I think the humidity measurement is completely wrong, it reads 50 %. It's utterly dry in my home.

I'm going to get this one:

From the reviews this baby is very accurate.
