Infamous latency issues

I have a MWeb shaped and Axxess semi shaped account tunneling via Gamemax.
On the MWeb side gamemax does nothing for me being at about 600 -800ms with regular DC's in 25 mans when we engage a boss.
On the semi-shaped account I'm at 280 - 350ms most of the time even in Dalaran. In 25 mans I still go up but only to about 400ms and so far I haven't had a DC.

Hmm so gamermax would probably be worth it on my unshaped line? Average latency over this past weekend was 600ms :(

Good to know. I think i'm gonna give Semi a try.

I'm currently running around with 600-800ms ingame where I always use to get 250-320ms. Would this sudden influx be because of Telkom, my Isp or some other source?
I've had some noice on my line recently but its been sorted out, yet the 600-800 latency remains. Any ideas?

What is strange is that mine has also jumped by about a 100ms and used to get between 250-350ms now over 400ms which is strange

Bit of thread necro

I am struggling on LB atm. It might just be me, but my latt says 456ms, yet when i (for example) try to mount, it takes 5-6 sec before I see the cast bar on my side.

Any ideas?

Last night the lat was fine but the lag (for lack of a better word) just went down all of a sudden. I only noticed it in Northrend though.

I didn't notice any lag or latency issues last night....

I am using iBurst 1GB (only use this because i live on a farm and I don't have access to any fixed connections) and i'm always getting between 500-700ms. I never get DC'd in raids and i' actually very happy with the connection. Even when I have reached the soft cap, I don't see any restrictions showing through on the latency.

I don't know much about latency. Is 500-700ms good?

500-700 is not bad. That is what I use to get on my shaped account a few months ago although these days I get that on my unshaped account.

I have been having serious latency issues on Neoflex over the past few weeks. Signed up with Gamemax and I was maxing at just under 700ms last night, but green most of the time.

Very happy.

Which Neoflex account do you have?

Do you usually get a decent latency?

I have the 10GB account and the latency is very variable. On a good day it sits at around 500ms but then it spike over 1000ms and even up to close to 3000ms as well.

It is very annoying and means that it is very difficult to do any real playing other than basic questing.

I also sometimes get latency spikes with iBurst.

For some reason if I logoff, then restart my PC and log back on is the latency fine again. I think it might be that my PC initiates a internet driven task that takes up brandwidth which in turn screws up my latency. Maybe the same thing is happening with Neoflex?

Anyone noticed a difference since Wednesday's maintenance?
I forgot to swap to my unshaped account or to put off things like recount and I didn't DC on a 25 man boss...

Might sound like nothing huge, but I usually DC at the start of boss fights and can't login again till the fights over (if I used my unshaped account).
Now it seems fine... maybe just maybe things are going to go back to TBC speeds...

I've also been having the same problem since wednesday, but only in the 25 mans, When the fight starts i lag out and dc and can't get back on, but it seems like it comes right at about 22:30 or so. Some people say it started when blizzard activated the backround downloader for ulduar, so that could be overloading the servers. Hope they sort out the problem soon, really annoying having to miss out on the first half of the raid every night.

I have had random disconnects with GameMax over the last few days (loosing arena matches to it). Trying PingFu now with a trial account - will post results.
