I have had an issue with an ADSL server which is connected to a telkom line with a Dynamic IP.
I am accessing this through a Dyndns.org acount to track my server's IP.
The issue is covered here . Forgive the double posting, but possibly I am more likely to encounter iBurst techies in this forum...
Basically two of my users (both using iBurst) cannot log onto my server.
I'm tending to think that it's a cache issue.
Do iBurst use a proxy? Is it Squid? Is there a way to force the cache to clear?
Rebooting the ADSL Modem/Router at the Server releases the IP that the 2 clients have been unable to access and leases an alternative IP which seems to allow access.
Is this an issue which could be solved at the client's end? Obviously it's not always expedient to reboot the modem because these two users are having trouble accessing the server.
