Well thanks to the pitfalls of parallels - no DX support so the SIMS2 wont play - I'm trying to load windows via Boot Camp.

I'm not sure why but I just feel unclean now. Like my mini has been violated. :(

Dirty, dirty bwana!

I am pretty sure the sims2 is avaiable for Mac

Might be but I dont want to pay for it twice. I'm hoping the minimum partition size will do and 'hope' to figure out how to boot it from an external so I can do away with it all together.

The parallels installation was so much smoother.

That is the one area where Parallels is seriously lacking: the graphics support. But other than that, I haven't noticed anything else really. There were some issues with USB devices, but that was sorted a few patches ago

I dont think I'm going to be paying the $90 for it. The only things I wanted to run was a couple of the missus' games.

Runs pretty well though - what with all that RAM :p

:D

Ended up having to enlarge my bootcamp partition from 5gb to 10gb but it's running surprisingly well.
