Hi, i copied Vista (1.3G -ISO) from work into flash drive ... After mounting it these files are contents of the ISO..

autorun
setup.exe
Windows6.0-KB948465-IA64.exe
Windows6.0-KB948465-X64.exe
Windows6.0-KB948465-X86

I plan booting from this as DVD and install into a separate partition either than my current XP .. is there hope and plz help with directions

I thought u need i386 folder and boot.ini to be able to boot from DVD? I can't just install Vista straight from within XP can i?

I remember this it's, "the three files needed to make an ISO" method. I might be able to find the guide to make the ISO. Where do you live? You could get copies of the Vista discs from someone in you area.

Sorry man, what you have there is just the SP2 update ISO for Vista/Server 2008. So my link would have counted for nothing.

First clue: Vista could never be 1.3GB ISO by default with 32bit and 64bit.
