So weird. I don't tailgate I slipstream. Saves me lots in fuel.
Tailgating isnt allowed here, at cruise speeds you must leave 2 car spaces between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Agree. We are taught in the states at least one car length for every 10mph you are going. So 5 to 7 car lengths on the highway.

- Don't tailgate. Following distances are there for a reason.
- Don't brake unnecessarily.

The car in front was already moving faster than the cars in the right lane.
To me it just seems like your typical arsehole SUV/double cab driver using his vehicle to try and boss the road.
And this is why SA's roads are full of carnage.
I've been tailgated while 20 - 30km/h OVER the speed limit. In that case the person doing the tailgating is a complete idiot.
Tailgating also means you have no space or time to react if the car in front has to brake for an emergency. A blowout, an animal/pedestrian crossing the freeway, debris from another vehicle in front of you or an accident ahead could all force a driver to hit the brakes and the idiot taligating will have no time to react.

This is NOT tailgating. There was more than 1 meter space/gap between the two.

Stop trolling*. Even 3 meters at 120km/h is tailgating...
*if not trolling you have a big deficiency in you distance perception abilities, as well as perceiving and understanding the physical world.
+1 I won't move out of the way if the left lane is moving 20-30 km/h slower than what I'm going at in the fast lane. Because some idiot wants to drive at 150km/h I should now slow down from 120/130 and join the people going at 100?! I don't mind moving to the left if there are no cars and I can sustain my speed though.
