Intel needs to consider releasing a i11 cpu after this!

Just hope some higher tier cpu's come from ryzen to compete with the i9's biggest offering

I doubt it, at least for this generation. 16 cores is the maximum unless they move to a 4 CCX design but that would start encroaching on the Epyc server processors and would likely mean a much higher cost.

Honestly though that 16 core part is already a beast, they just need to keep improving on IPC and clocks going forward.

I'm tempted to get one, Visual Studio projects will fly! :D

No obvious this is a beast! i won't need one as i game 90% of the time on my pc.But now this will activate intel sheep "yeah but intel has the fastest CPU,i9 dude" jumping over the fact it costs 2000$ and owning a i5 currently ..

i actually know 3 such friends that believes amd is still a joke and his i7 5930x beats the entire line up of ryzen ..

They love to compare the fact that we can't compare a 6 core amd to a 4 core i7 "unfair" ,even though you point out that it's cheaper than the i7.

AMD will have a hard time getting rid of the stigma associated with their Bulldozer architecture. They seem to be doing pretty well though as a Ryzen CPU was the number one seller on Amazon for a short while (and now they're top 3, 4 and 5 selling currently).
