No, what that sentence of yours says is:

There were the later types of P4, followed by the C2D and they were based on the old P3, or rather the improved M version.

I dont know what your problem is (lack of sleep, drugs, mental fatigue?) but that sentence is just not understandable.

If you wanted to say:

C2D is based of the old P3 or rather improved M version and the last P4s

if i remember correctly you were rather reluctant to let go of AMD initially, but now you are a devout fanboy :D i am too, but i have not been able to upgrade due to finances
