November 17 will see the launch of Intel's Nehalem processor.

Read the article...or if you are having trouble loading it (i know i was) then the figures they give are between R3000 - R17000. Should drop once the "hype" had died down.

I've seen the Core i7 920 on a local price list for R4100 ex VAT dealer price

3K (Cpu)+ 3.5K (MB)+ 1.5K (Ram)= R8K for an system without GPU. Naw ill skip this one for sure.

I think I'll stick to upgrading to a Quad Core for now. The Core i7, apart from being expensive, will probably have a few bugs that Intel will have to iron out as well.

The 3.2GHz 965XE is around R14K, down to ~R4K for the 2.66GHz 920.
