Intel under fire

The European Commission published correspondence on Monday that it said supported a record anti-trust fine against Intel, but the move brought a swift denial from the US computer chip giant.

Based on intels history this is a very typical behavior from them...

But hey, for most people pure performance seems to be everything and they could not care less about how damaging their support of intel is for the industry as a whole

"Late last week Lenovo cut a lucrative deal with Intel. As a result of this, we will not be introducing AMD based products in 2007 for our Notebook products," the December 2006 email said.

Old news?

business is business... I was say that Intel is growing more and more decedent as times goes on, but that's fine, AMD and maybe even a new comer will manage to bring out a new line of processors that will rip the carpet from under Intel. Ultimately, I think Intel is too greedy and is trying to take too much pie (the fat bastards are releasing a GPU now, seems like AMD is that cool kid and Intel a wanna be :p)

Business is business but if you speak to M$ thesedays they will tell you what lessons they learned from merely making it easy for dumb user to get on the internet. They regret bundling IE into older versions of windows... What intel did is really unexeptable. They not only pay companies not to use AMD as source, they blatantly copy from AMD at the same time.

Damn the broken record is back :D. They copy from amd and actually make better products hahaha, how sad is that.

no less, I'm still happy with Intel processors! Never been a fan of AMD except for some of their GPU's...

If only we could get someone to fine our "beloved" telkom for anti competitve behavior, maybe then they will "wake up".

This is why I'll never buy an Intel processor. They are the dark side. The evil empire. I'd rather support the Jedi.

No thanks, we've been having integrated memory controllers since 2004 :p

Yet 5 years on intel release cpu's with the same technology and decimate your cpu's. 5 years is a long time to make the technology work really well, it took intel 1 year to make your technology better :D

lol I hope you know the integrated memory controller doesn't make that much of a difference, it makes a difference, but enough to make you run up and down the hall way screaming and flaying your arms :p. Also the i7 is a very clever architecture, it does more instructions per clock then the AMD's.

Intel see AMD as a threat. Remember the Athlon creaming the Pentium 4. They never know what AMD can plan next.

Well Intel copied from AMD and made a better product = Core 2 Duo.
MS copied from Apple and got Vista. LOL.

At least Intel succeeded.
