Interconnect agreement concluded

A look at the salaries of the big boys at ICASA and it's not hard to see why they don't give a f..k

I think that the reason they're only doing this 1st of Feb or 1st of March is that's their billing/tax year end. However, this still irritates the hell out of me as the DoC and ICASA were all on about 1st November/December 2009.

Now, on to the important part.. W.T.F happened to DoC's "60c interconnect rate"??
Dropping peak to 89c and leaving off-peak alone is fscking useless!

I cannot believe after all their posturing, this is where we've still ended up.

Perhaps this was just a way for them all to secure an extra large xmas bonus? Who knows? W@nkers!

People, NOW is the time to STAND together and VOTE with your wallets.

Terminate all your vodacom and mtn contracts, and go with cellC.

And those of you who whine that it is a schlepp to change this and that, just do it, otherwise we will NEVER win this war.

War is hell.

If we don't stand up together in this, things will never change.

Not sure why you think Cell C is the consumer champion in the mobile industry.

In some respects they do offer fair deals - but for a lot of circumstances VC or MTN give cheaper or better service. The nature of competition should be to go to the provider that offers you the best deal.

Interesting that John Holdsworth didn't know about this when he presented at the MyBB conference in the morning - I guess he's not as close to the Minister as he'd like to be...
LOL, maybe the MoC was streaming JH's presentation & quickly called the 3 CEOs and said there is this mad oke who wants to mobilise all consumers and you should all agree to disagree before everything goes pear shaped...or not.

For Vodacom and Cell C this cut will be implemented on the 1st of February 2010. MTN has agreed to lower its’ interconnect fee by the 1st of March 2010.
 what exactly is going to change on 2009-12-01? - will new 24 month contracts, signed on or after 2009-12-01, be subject to the less expensive interconnect rates that will only be introduced for existing customers on 2010-02-01 and 2010-03-01???
