(Sorry if this is in the wrong section)
We've been experiencing problems with our 384kbps 2gb Afrihost account recently. The connection is lost every few minutes, this state lasts for a few seconds and Google Chrome reports a DNS Lookup error. Applications such as Teamspeak 3 are also affected and lose connection to the server and online games are interrupted, so it's not an isolated issue.
To remedy the problem we have restarted the router (5102G) and checked for firmware updates, but the problem has not been resolved and our firmware appears to be up to date. Pingtest and speedtest.net both report that the connection is operating properly between the connection issues.
Nothing seems out of place in the event logs of the router, and even a factory reset has not helped. Afrihost have been very helpful and quick to respond but have been unable to provide a solution and i'm probably going to have to contact Telkom for techie to come by, though I'd like to avoid that if possible.
I'm in the Stellenbosch area, could someone direct me to the correct contact details if I need to get them to take a look, or preferably offer any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
