Intermittent Fasting

I see vegans are ****ing touchy when sharing a meme about them.

it's a joke, not a dick. don't take it so hard

My moer.
What was your starting weight?

Tomorrow will be day 7 with only Sunday that I faltered due to golf+beer.
Have lost nothing. And I did not feel like I was eating that much more, in total, during the eating segment.

And our scale is inconsistent, one day it's 89 the next 91 then 90, so go figure.

Weigh yourself naked, at the same time every day. You will still get some fluctuation though depending on water and whether or not you need to go #2

My wife has dropped around 6kg so far with IF. I'm down around 4kgs but it fluctuates, so this week I'm going to press to get consistently under 77kg. I'm having gout all of a sudden, which makes it incredibly painful to walk, so my normal outdoors running is right out the door :(.

Maybe some non vegan reported it because it was irrelevant to the thread.
Here, I'll try generalising too:

"Non-vegans are ****ing touchy when their irrelevant jokes get deleted from a thread."
It's a deleted pic, not a punch to the face. Don't take it so hard.

On a more esoteric level, fasting seems to also have a profound effect on one's emotional health if you spend some time dealing with negative/unwanted/painful emotions.
It's amazing how much of eating is due to habit, boredom & distraction from what's going on in life.

100kg. God it's hard to type that :(

As mentioned elsewhere, weigh in at the same time and also not too often. I do it Monday morning after releasing the morning thunder.

Too often and you'll see fluctuations due to water retention.

You should have lost some weight though. What does your cycle look like?

Well I accidentally skipped food till 20h00 today so I guess that sorta counts

You are supposed to do this through raw grit an determination ffs. Get out of here with your 'whoops forgot to eat' bs. Do you also go and dance in front of cripples or cough when you see a smoker? :D

So on IF im not sure which is the best way to go, quite a bit of contradicting info.

I am busy doing 24hrs IF, so dinner to dinner. Main question, all the websites recommend doing this 2 or 3 times a week then eating normally the other days.... i'm not so sure. Is it safe to just eat dinner to dinner every day? Its incredibly easy for me to skip Bfast and lunch at work and i don't get any hunger pangs.

Perfectly fine.

I promise to suffer more going forward

Wagyu? That's going to cost as much as all your skipped meals put together.

Where do you buy it from?

EDIT. Just saw you're in Singapore.

It's local equivalent isn't as expensive as you'd think. There are "budget" options available, with only the prime cuts coming in at ~R1,500 per kg. They sell locally from here: http://www.wagyu.co.za/, but you need a minimum order of R2k. I couldn't get enough people interested back then to order, but apparently the meat is totes worth it.

2 weeks on IF and seems like it works well. 5kg down. Getting closer to the goal weight but it has 1 drawback. Loss of muscle mass. I have to incorporate some moderate weight training and a high protein diet with this it seems.

Yeah the meat is incredible. Soft juicy and amazing. I only buy when it's on special here, it's like 50% off when on special so it's so worth it... On special its cheaper than normal rump so ye.

Currently 38hr into an attempted 48hr fast. Been one or two moments where I struggled, mostly around usual dinner time, but all and all quite easy so far.

Went a bit overboard this weekend with the kids on carbs and especially sweet things. So just fast tracking back into ketosis.

EDIT: Been doing 18:6 for extended time now. But first time doing more than 24hr.

Lekker! power through it. I found during my 72 hour, hardest parts were dinner as well. Other than that, just chug the water and all good.

When i broke the fast, not sure if it will be same as a 48 hr, but keep a toilet near by. Its a good experience though.

Tonight before dinner will be especially interesting as I still have to fit in a workout completely fasted. Granted it will only be at 60-70% workload but still.

Reason I don't really attempt longer fasts is because of the heavy weightlifting. No problem doing fasted cardio but I find that I get lightheaded when attempting lifting fasted.

And certainly not doing this binge thing again. Felt so crap that I could hardly do basic stuff around home on Sunday night. And was lights out by 20h00.

Not going to lie. Struggling now.

One can only drink so much water.

Pretty sure, like when I first started 16:8 and later 18:6, that it becomes easier the more you do it. But I can't see myself pushing for a 48hr again.
