International Down IS

What has caused this total blackout of international service?

Perhaps the Seacom maintenance is running behind schedule. Funny thing is I thought IS used satellite as well for international.

IS uncapped has access over here, just a bit slow on some sites.

Was down here in CT about 10 minutes ago (Afrihost - normal capped) - seems to be back up again.

I have full connectivity again... Just played games of Uncharted 2 (PSN) and bought stuff off of the PSN store running at the full 4Mbps, it took me 9 minutes to download a 250MB file from PSN and YouTube is back up as well. Lets hope this is the end of the horror.

Just got a mail from Openweb (not my isp but have bought from them b4) stating that Seacom is still down... Quite irritated that my ISP hasn't updated.

I'm asking cause the IS R899 uncapped express which is supplied via Satellite is also down. Now I ask you if both the R899 and R999 Fibre based accounts use the exact same fibre cable why is one more expensive than the other?

I have a IS basic uncapped, IS Premium Unshaped and 2GB/28GB IS account. Not one has international. All has full speed local.
