None taken, however, it would appear that Chrome uses the system proxy setting. You can find that in your Control Panel / Internet Options (or Settings depending on your OS) in the Connections tab and then clicking on the "Lan Settings" button. In the dialog select the "Use a proxy server..." check box and put cache.saix.net into the "Address" box and "8080" into the port box, then click OK etc. Then re-open Chrome, and voila.

<edit> I have not tried this as I currently don't have Chrome installed </edit>

Yes, but it is still missing a lot of add-ons that the FF people like. I usually have all the latest versions of all browsers installed on my development box and a lot of legacy ones in various VMs. Today you got me off guard because I am in the process of rebuilding that box due to a disk malfunction.

PS, everything appears to be working now again even without a proxy. Perhaps you should reboot your modem and your PC.

If this is a DNS issue it will unlikely affect torrents, especially if you are already connected. Although it does not appear to be a DNS issue, so it is more likely a routing issue. It is odd.

I disconnected my uncapped account when I saw this thread and logged in with my TI account.

I'm encountering a few hassles when connecting to I'tnl sites. Intermittent, though.
 
On and off, maybe telkom is updating it's network

Down again here without a proxy. The proxy settings help a bit but not in all cases. Bored of this, going to watch a movie. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow.
 
Mine bobs up and down like an experienced hooker. :( I can get connectivity for a few minutes, then it dies again, rinse and repeat.
 
I'm only having issues with google.co.za and gmail.com - all other sites work, even getting here was a breeze...
