International Down?

Yes, I am, and constantly everyday my connection seems to be slow, I've got the 192k package, but sometimes only get the avg. of 19k/s :( This is quite pissing me off!!!!!! And this is local and/or international...
Urm... I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you seem to confusing 192kbps with 192KB/s. The speed your connection is measured in is kilo BITS per second, whereas the speed you see on your download window is kilo BYTES per second. To convert you need to divide by 8 and then take into account protocol overhead.

Therefore, your top speed on a 192kbps connection should be about 192 / 8 = 24KB/s * 90% = around 22 KB/s. So if you're getting 19 it's actually pretty good. Unless I was being stupid and you actually meant that you get 19 kilobits per second (19456 bits or 2.4KB/s) in which case I appologise.

Oh yeah, and my international is still firmly in gutter pit.

Hmm, could someone mention which DNS servers should we change to?
I just did: I'm using 196.38.110.2.

Roughly: Start/Settings/Network (or Start/Control Panel/Network) then Local Area Connection/Properties/TCPIP/Properties, then select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the above IP as Preferred DNS server.

Well, I meant correctly, I am getting 19 kilobytes/s, but when I got my dsl, I was getting round 25 kilobytes/s... and today, I'm avg. 0-5 kilobytes/s - local + internationally... :( :(

when you 1st get adsl installed your speeds are always be slightly inflated until telkom sets up your account properly. 19kB/s is normal for 192, i also get it!

I hate to say this, but I think you might be right. I can't access Intel.com and my download speed is see-sawing up and down, one moment 20 next moment 2.

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind, seems okay now.
