International Down?

Mweb down in Johannesburg.

... I hate Mondays...

Seacom Cable downtime

Not sure if this has already been posted, but for MWeb uncapped users local access is available by setting your local DNS to:
196.28.80.140
196.28.80.139
International access however remains a problem tho.

With the recent unreliability of Seacom, one would have assumed that the ISP's relying almost solely on Seacom, would by now have established some for of backup link, say via SAT3 or similar in case of total failure, as is the case right now.

We need to start a new tread : 'Things to do when International goes down' , something like the 'Things to do when your cap runs out' :)
Wait a minute, that may actually be the same ting, cos we now restricted to local?

Like this? (works for me)

That's just a cache of HTML and static images (videos and adverts too). If you search for anything it tries to go international.

Some of the options work, such as Advanced Search (not sure why?), but only returns a list of links (not actual content).

Edit: The image cache is huge (thumbnails anyway)!!

Is it too much to expect to have at least 1 week without downtime? Extremely poor planning on mweb's part if we aren't even rerouted by now. Probably some incompetent idiots working in tech
