Internet Explorer junkies are ignorant!

Blah blah blah blah

i have heard this all before , true firefox is better than internet explorer in some ways , but in others internet explorer is better than firefox

to surf the large selction of pages i go to i have to run 2 browser programs , which well sucks

on firefox though , as good as it is , it seems to have a large memory leak problem when surfing some pages

At the end we all have our choices to make , whats good for may not be good for you , but they thats just my opinion

what about my browser....seems I don't have a big enough market share yet:D

That is not Firefox's fault... that is because those pages were designed for IE which has followed it's own standards. IE has not stuck with industry web standards.. and the web designers code for it because it is the dominant browser.

ROFL... kept refeshing the page cause I thought it said "Internet Explorer can not find the page"

Bingo, it may not be right, but it is the way it is currently.

The main reason I still choose to stick with IE7 for most browsing is not that its the best but rather I want to see the site's "best effort", not some compatibility view (usually an after thought). It natural that developers will focus most of their efforts on ensuring their site will look/perform its best on the browser used by the majority of visitors.

Some of us ignorants believe the view will always be more important than the window frame.

Just for the record, that is an opinion piece and will not at all affect my ability to enjoy a good kuier with you IE zombies. ;)

BTW, how many sites do you know that requires Internet Explorer nowadays? Even postnet fixed their site. I see the postal service still needs to get their site fixed, but I hardly run into sites that don't work on other browsers nowadays and those that won't are forgettable anyways.

Only those with dimwitted web designers.

There is no surer sign for me that this is a company I don't want to deal with than their website working only in IE.

Very well said. I enjoyed the article, had a good chuckle, and have only one thing to add to this conversation:

Firefox add-on: IEView for those sites that need IE (including Windows Update)... never open IE again. ;)

True, its usually far more subtle. Any site worth it's salt will work with all browsers, its more a question of knowing that you're probably viewing the content in its most optimised/rich form. It's a numbers vs. effort game.
